AOI is an indispensable testing equipment in the production process of PCBA processing
AOI is an indispensable testing equipment in the production process of PCBA processing, and strict quality testing is necessary in the processing of T-chip processing, DIP plug-in, and other processes to ensure the quality of electronic processing. For processing plants, quality is the most important and a condition for survival. Below, let's briefly introduce the use of AOI detection.
AOI is actually an optical identification system that has been widely used in today's electronic processing industry and gradually replacing traditional manual visual inspection methods. It generally uses imaging skills to compare whether there is a significant difference between the object being tested and the standard image to determine whether the object is in compliance with the standard.
In practical PCBA processing, AOI is used to detect the quality of electronic components processed on PCBA boards and whether solder paste meets processing standards, enabling timely detection and early resolution of problems. It is also widely used in furnace front and furnace rear detection. The furnace front can confirm whether the solder paste printing and component mounting meet the processing requirements, and correct the defects in the chip processing in time. The furnace rear AOI can detect some welding defects in the reflow soldering process in time, and deal with them in time to avoid flowing into the next processing link.
The disadvantage of large AOI in PCBA processing is that there are some areas where the gray scale or shadow brightness is not very obvious, which can easily lead to misjudgment. These may be distinguished by different colors of light, but the most troublesome ones are the components covered by other parts and the solder joints located under the components, because traditional AOI can only detect the local areas that can be reached by direct light, Components such as screen frame ribs or below their edges often miss out on the past due to AOI not being able to detect them.
