According to foreign media reports, automotive component manufacturer Bosch has launched a new semiconductor technology that can use microchips to cut off power in the event of an electric vehicle accident to prevent electric shock and prevent vehicle explosions.
Currently, there have been multiple incidents of electric vehicle accidents, fires, and explosions, from Tesla to domestically produced NIO and Weima. As electric vehicles become increasingly popular, their safety has also raised concerns. Of course, it is not necessarily that the accident rate of electric vehicles is higher than that of traditional fuel vehicles, but as an emerging thing, they often receive more attention. In this context, Bosch has launched a new semiconductor technology, with its microchips capable of powering off battery circuits in less than a second, ensuring the personal safety of on-site emergency personnel and personnel inside the vehicle. In terms of technical principles, when the vehicle's airbag sensor detects an impact force, the microchip will trigger the fuse system, and the connection between the on-board battery and the high-voltage cable of the electronic components will be disconnected, thereby eliminating the risk of electric shock or fire in the electric vehicle.
It is understood that the currently developed microchip is very small in size and lightweight, but it integrates millions of crystals and can be customized to activate safety functions within 1 second, with strong reliability.
